These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Farm Animal Transparency (“FAT”) website, tools, content, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
Farm Animal Transparency (“FAT”) is an educational and analytical project focused on improving transparency in animal protein labeling and agricultural production practices.
By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement. These Terms apply to all users and visitors of the Services.
All content, research, scoring frameworks, text, graphics, algorithms, evaluation logic, and design elements associated with FAT are owned by or licensed to FAT and/or its founder, Dirk Adams, and protected by intellectual property laws. This includes:

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” FAT and Dirk Adams disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FAT and Dirk Adams shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FAT and Dirk Adams from any claims arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
FAT may modify these Terms or the Services at any time. Updated versions will include a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Montana. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Montana courts.
FAT may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time. Sections that reasonably should survive termination will continue to apply.
